At Assimiler, the protection of your personal information is essential. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information when you use our website or our services. This policy complies with Quebec’s Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25 of Quebec).

2. How we collect your information

We collect personal information through the following channels:

    •    Emails received at ensemble@assimiler.com

    •    The contact form on our website

    •    The pricing proposal request form

    •    Essential cookies on our website (session, security)

    •    The Wix Analytics tool (only after your consent)

    •    Public online sources — professional contact details published by organizations themselves or available on Quebec public platforms (directories, federations, sector associations, official organization websites — for example 211 Québec)

We do not use any identification, location or automated profiling technology.

3. What information we collect and why

Here are the categories of personal information we collect:

 

Identification information

Examples: First name, last name, email address, phone number

Why: To respond to your requests and contact you

 

Professional information

Examples: Your organization’s name, your job title (optional)

Why: To adapt our proposal to your context

 

Organization contact information (collected via public sources)

Examples: Organization name, location, generic email, phone number, names and positions of administrative or management members published online

Why: To offer you services tailored to your sector

Technical information (only with your consent)

Examples: IP address, pages visited, visit duration, referral source

Why: To understand how our site is used and measure the impact of our campaigns

 

Communication content

Examples: Messages sent through our forms or by email

Why: To answer your questions and organize our services

 

We do not collect: health, biometric or demographic information (age, ethnic origin). Financial information is only collected after contracting (quotes, invoices).

4. Who has access to your information

Within Assimiler

    •    Mourad Laouichi — Founder, lead trainer and personal information protection officer

    •    Ludivine Marion — Coordinator

Access is limited to the information necessary for their duties.

Through external service providers

Your information may be shared with the following providers:

    •    Wix.com Ltd.

Purpose : Hosting our website and storing form submissions

    •    Google Workspace (United States)

Purpose : Professional email service (Gmail)

Communication outside Quebec

Our technology providers (Wix, Google) host their servers in the United States, but comply with international data protection standards. We have assessed that they offer an adequate level of protection — notably through recognized certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2, European GDPR compliance) and their contractual data protection commitments.

5. How long we keep your information

  • Contact requests: 24 months after the last exchange

  • Commercial email communications: until you unsubscribe (link included in every email)

  • Commercial documents (quotes, invoices): kept for a minimum of 6 years in accordance with Quebec accounting and tax obligations, and longer if needed for archival purposes

  • Data collected via Wix Analytics: maximum 26 months (automatically deleted by Wix)

  • Essential cookies: duration of the session or connection

 

Beyond these retention periods, your information is deleted or anonymized.

6. Your rights

In accordance with Law 25, you have the following rights:

    •    Right of access — to know what information we hold about you

    •    Right of rectification — to correct or update inaccurate information

    •    Right to de-indexation — to request that information no longer be accessible online

    •    Right to portability — to receive your information in a structured format

    •    Right to withdraw consent — at any time

    •    Right to file a complaint — with our officer or with the CAI

You can write us an email or use our contact form, stating your request. We may ask for proof of identity before responding, in order to protect your information.

Response time: maximum 30 days from receipt of your request.

We implement measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of your personal information.

 

Technical measures

    •    Two-factor authentication on our professional accounts

    •    Strong passwords and secure access management

    •    Regular backups of important data

    •    HTTPS encryption of communications on our website

Organizational measures

    •    Limited access to those who need it for their duties

    •    Internal information security policy

    •    Ongoing staff training on personal information protection

What Wix Analytics lets us see:

    •    Most visited pages and time spent

    •    Where visitors come from (search engine, direct link, social media)

    •    Type of device used (computer, tablet, mobile)

    •    Geographic region (country, province)

What we use it for:

To understand how our site is used, identify content that interests you, and measure the impact of our communication campaigns.

Wix Analytics does not allow us to individually identify a visitor. The data is aggregated and statistical.

This tool is enabled only after your explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clicking “Manage my cookies” at the bottom of the page.

What we do not do

    •    No advertising tracking cookies

    •    No behavioural profiling tools

    •    No visitor identification or location technology

    •    No reselling of data to third parties

We may modify this policy at any time, in particular to reflect changes in our practices, in our technological tools, or in applicable legislation.

Any significant change will be published on this page with the new update date. For major changes, we will inform affected individuals by email.

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your personal information or with our response to a request, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
